What is Dyslexia?
Dyslexia is a brain-based difference in how language is processed. It primarily affects reading, spelling, and writing—not intelligence, effort, or motivation.
Some kids need heavy phonemic awareness work before decoding even makes sense. Others are ready to jump into structured phonics right away. Some need math rebuilt from the ground up with hands-on concepts; others just need a more explicit, sequential approach. That’s why our team is trained across multiple evidence-based programs — so we can build the right path for each student instead of making the student fit the program.
Barton Reading & Spelling
A structured, multisensory, Orton-Gillingham-based program for students with dyslexia. Barton moves step by step through phonics, spelling rules, and reading fluency, with lots of built-in review so skills actually stick.
