Clarisa Franklin

Licensed Professional Counselor

Clarisa Fujiwara-Franklin is a wife, a mother of two girls, and a dedicated therapist with more than 10 years of experience.

Her personal journey as a parent walking alongside her oldest daughter through the struggles, challenges, and emotional ups and downs of dyslexia has given her a profound understanding of the importance of early intervention, ongoing support, and strong advocacy. She knows firsthand how the daily realities of learning differences can impact a child’s confidence, sense of self, and overall well-being. This lived experience fuels Clarisa’s passion for ensuring every individual feels seen, supported, and empowered to thrive.

Her heart lies in helping individuals navigate life’s challenges—whether that means coping with day-to-day anxiety, moving through depression, or healing from trauma. With a strong clinical background spanning psychiatric care, outpatient group therapy, and individual counseling. Clarisa brings both breadth and depth to her practice. She has also shared her knowledge as an educator, teaching in the master’s program at Grand Canyon University.

She integrates evidence-based approaches—including existential therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and EMDR into her sessions. Her gentle, compassionate, and science-informed approach helps clients uncover their strengths, recognize their value, understand how trauma affects the nervous system, and believe that each person has the innate capacity to heal, regardless of what they’ve been through.
